Job Description

Email Marketing Manager

This is a remote position. Our client is looking for an Email Marketing Manager to take ownership of the execution, performance, and ongoing optimization of their email marketing channel. This position will shape how prospects, customers, and partners interact with the brand throughout the buyer journey by delivering targeted, personalized, and data-informed campaigns through HubSpot. They operate in the workplace compliance and digital learning industry and have earned continued recognition in recent years for sustained growth and award-winning learning experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on email marketing expertise with analytical thinking, experimentation, audience insights, and exceptional attention to detail. This person will collaborate closely with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Revenue Operations to improve engagement, conversions, and pipeline impact. While the Marketing Automation team manages HubSpot architecture, integrations, broader automation strategy, and lifecycle infrastructure, the Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for email channel execution and performance, ensuring campaigns are accurate, timely, relevant, and continuously optimized.

Responsibilities:

  • Own email marketing execution across prospect, customer, partner, and lifecycle communications.
  • Plan, build, launch, and optimize email campaigns, newsletters, nurture sequences, product announcements, customer communications, webinar promotions, event campaigns, and follow-up programs.
  • Manage the complete email production workflow, including audience selection, segmentation, quality assurance, scheduling, deployment, reporting, and A/B testing.
  • Ensure campaigns launch accurately, meet deadlines, and remain aligned with their intended marketing objectives.
  • Monitor deliverability, inbox performance, engagement, and adherence to email marketing best practices.
  • Develop and manage an ongoing experimentation roadmap covering subject lines, preview text, calls-to-action, layouts, send times, personalization, dynamic content, copy length, image usage, and sending frequency.
  • Translate campaign performance into recommendations that improve click-through rates, conversions, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
  • Analyze email behavior across different audience groups, including enterprise and SMB audiences, prospects and customers, lifecycle stages, industries, personas, job titles, product interests, and behavioral engagement.
  • Identify patterns and opportunities for improved segmentation, targeting, personalization, and campaign strategy.
  • Build and manage emails, landing pages, lists, campaign assets, and approved workflow executions within HubSpot.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance before every campaign deployment.
  • Support integrated marketing initiatives such as webinars, virtual events, product launches, customer campaigns, and demand-generation programs.
  • Coordinate campaign schedules, tasks, and deliverables through Asana.
  • Monitor campaign results and communicate meaningful findings to marketing stakeholders.
  • Recommend improvements to open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, customer engagement, and pipeline performance.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to maintain accurate and reliable campaign reporting.
  • Present campaign trends, testing results, and optimization opportunities to the broader marketing team.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve email development, copy refinement, personalization, testing concepts, reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, campaign management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub.
  • Experience working with Asana for campaign or project coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to create emails, landing pages, forms, lists, and campaigns within HubSpot.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, segmentation, and audience management.
  • Proven experience developing and executing A/B testing programs.
  • Ability to interpret campaign data and turn findings into practical optimization recommendations.
  • Strong copy editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to campaign quality assurance.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work full-time during U.S. business hours and collaborate effectively with a North American marketing team.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, HubSpot AI, or similar solutions to improve marketing execution and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience managing lifecycle marketing and lead nurture programs.
  • HubSpot Marketing Hub Certification.
  • Experience supporting webinars, virtual events, and product launches.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for email adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple personas, audience segments, or customer lifecycle stages.

Benefits:

  • Full-time opportunity.
  • 100% remote position.
  • Opportunity to work closely with an established North American marketing team.
  • High level of ownership over a critical marketing channel.
